Videos and photos of fire next door

Just a quick entry with some photos. Yesterday evening the neighbor told us they were going to burn their field. I guess the fire department came out this morning before I got up. Their field has many trees and stuff on it. Last week 2 men set fire to field and it killed one man and other is critical in the hospital. To see fire coming toward you is really scary!! All of the horses and Harley was watching the fire. It looks small compared to the real thing. The videos are real short. No talking ... just from my digital camera... not video camera.

This is the beginning: Hmmm videos would not load??

Well I hope this comes out alright... doing it html. HAPPY EASTER. HUGS, JANIE

Wow, I've always been in awe of fires. I drove by a few of them when there were wildfires in California last year, the wind was blowing so hard and it covered the sun like a blanket :o) I was scared and I can see why you'd be worried too!!

Just terrible. Hope its out now. On the way to the ranch we saw along the highway seven different places where it seemed someone was lighting fires every so often. Nice Easter to you.

Oh no, I wouldn't like to have that next door to me. I just heard on the news today about the fires going on due to the dry weather. Jumping the freeways and all..Not a good thing.
I'll bet the horses were scared.
I don't blame them..
Happy Easter to you Janie and your family.
Hugs, Sheri

Hi Janie,
Happy Easter! Janie why do people burn fields and what is a drugstore cowboy? I bet Harley was figuring out where he was going to run looking at that fire. I have passed a farm that has been burning brush every so often. With the wind blowing it can get out of control easy. Very strange conversation with the man from prison.

Fire always scares me and that looked dangerous. I don't blame the animals for trying to get away from it. That was very dangerous for them to be doing thay to start with. Glad that all people, homes and animals were safe. Helen

I remember my grandfather doing burning in the spring. I was always amazed at how pretty and green it was a short time later things would grow back again. It was an easy way to get rid of brush so he wouldn't have to cut it down. I know there is a safe way to do it, he never had any go out of control and would do a small bit at a time. I'm glad you all are ok. It's probably good your neighbors will have to move.

They do control burns like that around here. A couple of weeks ago the Fire dept had to come as it got out of control too!
